The quick-change toolholder system HT22 is characterised primarily by an increased wear resistance. The system’s especially long service life makes itself apparent on the construction site by considerably extended replacement intervals. A characteristic feature is the prismatic arranged contact surface.
For the user, this directly results in an extended service life of both the pick and the quick-change toolholder system. The resulting advantages – fewer picks needing to be replaced, less idle times, extended maintenance intervals and increased machine uptime – allow even the most challenging soils to be stabilized economically, and heavily damaged pavement structures to be milled off and recycled in an efficient process.
This makes the milling drums equipped with the HT22 quick-change toolholder system perfect for highly demanding milling tasks. In addition, the robust milling drum design enables the upper parts of the quick-change toolholders to be changed quickly on site, if required.
The new upper toolholder part HT22 PLUS features an innovative centring embossment in the pick contact surface. In combination with the new X² generation of picks, toolholder wear is reduced by up to 25%, and pick rotation is optimized as a result. Salient features of the new upper part include improved quality of the milled surface and extended replacement intervals.
Time spent on toolholder maintenance and replacement are crucial factors in any application. The HT22 toolholder in combination with PCD milling tools gives advantage over all other available toolholder systems by reducing this maintenance time. The maintenance requirements of the HT22 (e. g. tightening of bolts) is in line with the life time of the PCD tool upper section (carbide PCD combination).
