Each of the three brands, WIRTGEN, VÖGELE, and HAMM, continued to focus on expanding its respective core competencies.
By transitioning to systematic series design for small milling machines and systematically expanding its product range for cold recyclers and slipform pavers, WIRTGEN GmbH continued to expand its market leadership.
With the development of the “Dash 1” family, the first pavers with the same design, Joseph VÖGELE AG introduced a completely new generation of road pavers to the market. With two small paver models, a mobile feeder, and additional screeds, Vögele now offered an even more extensive range of machines for cost-effective asphalt paving.
HAMM AG’s newly developed products were renowned for their innovative design and ergonomics. With its Series 3000 compactors, HAMM offered a complete range of machines for compaction operations when conducting earthworks.
At the same time, the WIRTGEN GROUP expanded its existing subsidiaries and founded further subsidiaries in new markets. By opening its own assembly facility in China, the WIRTGEN GROUP laid the foundation for its business activities in the “Middle Kingdom.” By expanding its worldwide presence, the corporate group significantly increased its proximity to local customers.
The innovative strength of each individual brand headquarters combined with the expansion of the joint sales and service network formed the basis for the WIRTGEN GROUP’s rise to become the global market leader for mobile road construction machinery.
