A W 120 Fi in Berlin demonstrates its versatility and outstanding performance and the high level of comfort provided by its fully-enclosed operator’s cabin.
The work schedule of contractor Enrico Feind’s milling crew called for the deployment of the company’s W 120 Fi on two milling projects on the same day – in the centre and on the outskirts of Berlin. The outstanding manoeuvrability and compact dimensions of the W 120 Fi make it the ideal choice for milling applications on inner-city sites. In particular on the first job of the day, a site close to Potsdamer Platz with extremely limited space: the narrow street runs between office blocks and over an underground car park. Due to this rather challenging situation, the removal of two layers by milling required a particularly delicate touch. Thanks to its combination of high engine power and low weight, the W 120 Fi is exactly the right machine for a job like this. Immediately after the city-centre job in Berlin-Mitte, the machine was loaded up for the 30 km trip to the next job – this time in Marienfelde, on the outskirts of Berlin. The highly-manoeuvrable machine is extremely productive, easy to transport from site to site and can be quickly reconfigured for a wide range of milling tasks. The job was finished within around one and a half hours.
