Responsibility for nature and the world around you

Sustainability is firmly enshrined in all business areas and processes at HAMM – from Purchasing to Development and even the Spare Parts Service. ‘Protecting the environment is non-negotiable for us. This applies both to our operations as a manufacturing company, and to our products. Alongside this, our environmental management system enables us to identify additional potential for improvement that will allow us to reduce our consumption of resources and energy at the site and to further reduce our environmental impact,’ explains Dr Stefan Klumpp, member of the HAMM AG Executive Board. Accordingly, using energy economically, using resources responsibly and keeping the soil, air and water clean are all part of the company principles. HAMM has, among other measures, installed an environmental management system in its main plant in Tirschenreuth and became ISO 14001 certified in November 2020. Through this certification, HAMM commits to keep working to reduce its emissions and resource consumption.

Compaction technology

Economical use of energy is also a guiding principle within Product Development at HAMM. This is why HAMM rollers impress with low fuel consumption. All modern rollers with combustion engines can also be run on HVO instead of diesel fuel – and therefore without the use of any fossil fuels. Plus, 2022 marked the dawn of a new era with the launch of the first fully electric rollers.

Service

Sustainability also permeates the departments of servicing and spare parts shipment at HAMM. In concrete terms, this means: Extensive availability of spare parts for older models, delivery of spare parts in the form of complete assemblies and as individual parts, eco-friendly packaging and much more besides.

Production

In recent years, HAMM has drastically reduced the energy demand for its production, internal logistics and building technology. This way, the environmental credentials improve year after year. As an ISO 14001 certified company, the roller manufacturer will also continue to reduce its emissions and resource consumption in future.
