Quick-change toolholder system HT22 for cold milling machines

The quick-change toolholder system HT22 PLUS is primarily distinguished by its higher wear resistance. The system's exceptionally long service life leads to noticeably longer pick and toolholder replacement intervals during operations on construction sites. It is also characterised by the prismatic layout of the contact surface.

For the user, this results in longer life of the picks and the quick-change toolholder system. The resulting benefits – fewer pick changes, fewer and shorter machine down times, longer maintenance intervals and higher machine utilisation rates – enable cost-efficient stabilisation of even the most difficult soils and efficient milling and recycling of severely damaged road pavement layers.

This makes milling drums equipped with the HT22 PLUS quick-change toolholder system the ideal choice for particularly challenging milling tasks. In addition, the heavy-duty construction of the milling drums enables the top parts of the quick-change toolholders to be exchanged quickly and easily whenever necessary, also on the construction site.

The new top part of the quick-change toolholder HT22 PLUS features an innovative, embossed centring recess in the pick contact surface. In combination with the new Generation X² round-shank picks, this reduces toolholder wear by up to 25%. The rotation behaviour of the round-shank picks has also been improved. The most significant benefits of the new top part are the higher quality of the milled surface and extended replacement intervals.

Time spent on toolholder maintenance and replacement are crucial factors in any application. The HT22 toolholder in combination with PCD milling tools gives advantage over all other available toolholder systems by reducing this maintenance time. The maintenance requirements of the HT22 (e. g. tightening of bolts) is in line with the life time of the PCD tool upper section (carbide PCD combination).
