New “Strong Partners" in Wittlich
Mapping out the way to the future for young people – with a long-term perspective: This is the goal pursued by the Kurfürst-Balduin-Realschule plus in Wittlich with its first training and learning partnership. In this case, the “Strong Partner“ mentioned in the title of the project is BENNINGHOVEN from Wittlich. Together with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Trier, the initiator and sponsor of training and learning partnerships in the region, the parties have now given their official seal of approval to the collaboration.
For the coming year, the agreement foresees not only a tour of BENNINGHOVEN’s facilities, but also the founding of a company by 8th grade students. BENNINGHOVEN will accompany this project with its enormous store of experience and expertise.
Over the years, the two partners have already worked together in the area of career orientation in the course of “Study Days”, for instance with tips and advice for writing applications and trial interviews. “It was now important to take the next step, namely to firmly cement what has up to now been only a loose collaboration,” says Heike Düpre form the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Behind the title “Strong Partners – Collaboration between Schools and Companies”, is a project that concentrates on the communication of knowledge about careers and the world of business in general, the transition from school to vocational training, and forge links to potential future employers. As school principal Marianne Schönhofen says, “ We want to work on this with a heart for the children.”
We relocated to our new state-of-the-art factory and offices in Wittlich Wengerohr, situated by the Middle Moselle river between the cities of Koblenz and Trier in mid-2018. It is the world’s biggest and most modern plant for the production of asphalt mixing systems. If you are interested, please visit our training page.
