Vocational Training as a Specialist for warehouse and logistics (m/f/d) at Kleemann

The perfect start to your career

As a specialist for warehouse and logistics, you are active in many of our company departments. You take over a decisive role from goods receipt to the delivery of goods by the shipping department. All workstations are equipped with the most modern EDV, which is a fixed element of daily work. The area of logistics includes different types of stockkeeping and organisation. Different floor-level conveyors (e.g. forklift trucks, lift trucks) are used for the transport and storage of the goods.

Brief overview

Start of Training: September
Duration of training: 3 years
Prerequisite: good Certificate of Secondary Education, GCSEs
Subsequent place of work: in the warehouse / in outdoor storage locations, in the office

During the three years of training, comprising an interaction of vocational school and company training, your instructors will prepare you for your subsequent career. Centred around a company training plan, you will spend time in different departments.

Furthermore, we offer company-internal instruction that accompanies the vocational school training (incl. English) to prepare you for examinations and later professional life.

If you perform well, we can offer you a take-over if the company situation permits this.

Course of training

  • Goods receipt: here, you will learn how to check the receipt of goods and their accompanying papers, booking of the goods in the warehouse management system, labelling of the goods and their further transport
  • Main and central warehouse: storage of the goods by means of ultra-modern warehouse technology, provision and picking for production and shipping
  • Shipping: packing of picked goods according to legal specifications on dispatch, preparing of freight lists and loading of goods
  • Company-internal transport: transport and storage of goods by means of a very wide variety of floor-level conveyors

Requirements

  • Good physical constitution (e.g. changing between work in warehouse halls, air-conditioned offices or outdoors)
  • Capacity for organisation and carefulness (e.g. assigning loading and unloading times and storage positions, correctly compiling deliveries for shipping)
  • Spatial sense (e.g. storage of goods in the warehouse according to type of goods, properties, volume and weight)
  • Prudence and sense of responsibility (e.g. when operating conveying systems or lifting gear, during transport and storage of hazardous substances)
