Practical training is a key priority at VÖGELE. Our trainees learn how to apply what they have learned in a variety of fascinating projects.
sees itself as a free time team in which current and former VÖGELE trainees work together on special challenges. The challenge: The development and construction of various kinds of robots.
Building robots is an ideal way of learning about the interplay of mechanical and electronic components and software. While building a robot, our team acquires valuable practical experience of working with microcontrollers, software and mechanical components. And it’s a load of good fun, too!
The results of their teamwork are presented to astonished audiences at a range of different industry fairs and can be tested on the spot.
VÖGELE’s Paul Herrwerth and Julian Hoffmann have been busy trying to optimize the process for filling the lubricating grease tanks. Accompanied by Dieter Kolba, who works in General Assembly, and their fellow trainees, they developed and produced what is known as the automatic grease lubricating system.
Project duration: 12 months.
The in-house development by the trainees, who have all since qualified, is a tried and tested asset in the world's most modern paver factory.
It offers time savings compared with the manual process, makes filling a clean process and reduces lubricant consumption thanks to an intelligent stop logic and innovative material recovery system.
