With their manual skills, construction mechanics work with sheet metal, metal profiles, and tubes and assemble them according to the specifications in technical drawings and plans to create complete steel structures. This occupation predominantly involves preparatory work for steel construction, the use of various spot and final welding methods, and finishing prior to construction. The production of high-strength welds, which are an indispensable mark of quality, is undertaken manually or with the aid of state-of-the-art welding robots.
