GENERATION Z² round-shank picks are the all-rounders in the portfolio of round-shank picks for cold recycling and soil stabilisation. They impress with product properties such as the high fracture toughness of their carbide tips and the optimised wear plate with its unique grooved profile.

WCC PLUS milling tools are used in the stabilisation of cohesive soils and are the ideal tools wherever enormous impact loads are encountered due to large rocks and pieces of stone.

GENERATION Z²round-shank picks are distinguished by unique product characteristics that above all enable the reduction of operating costs. Thanks to their adapted shank design and optimised carbide tip geometry with a reinforced carbide base, the round-shank picks in this product line are designed to withstand high impact loads and are therefore the ideal solution for recycling and soil stabilisation applications.

Especially in applications involving abrasive materials, the relatively large steel body volume compared to conventional round-shank picks and the reinforced wear plate result in the longest possible tool life and provide maximum protection for the top part of the toolholders.

In combination with the reinforced carbide base, the carbide mix with a high cobalt content of 7% ensures outstanding durability of the carbide, even in situations with extremely high impact loads. WCC PLUS (WIRTGEN COMPACT CARBIDE) milling tools are perfect for mixing cohesive soils interspersed with large pieces of rock and stones due to their tool geometry and materials. They have extremely wear-resistant carbide cutting edges, which, thanks to their enormous material thickness, exhibit high fracture toughness and, in turn, high impact resistance.
