The ideal option for rental
In spring 2025, roller manufacturer Hamm is launching the compact tandem rollers HD 10–HD 12 G-Tier. The 2.5 to 2.7 metric tonne models of HD 10 G VV and HD 12 G VV are available in France initially, with other markets set to follow. Both models fulfil the requirements of exhaust emission standard EU Stage V and can be used in the construction of roads and pathways, as well as in gardening and landscaping. On cramped, inner-city construction sites in particular, the compact tandem rollers from Hamm really come into their own.
The new tandem rollers of the HD CompactLine are characterised by their compact proportions, excellent handling and their compaction force. The 3-point articulation delivers exceptional handling, as well as quality and safety, by ensuring high driving stability and even weight distribution on both axles. In asphalt construction, this results in level surfaces without undulation formation, and a high level of safety against overturning when cornering. The large drum diameter is also instrumental in ensuring top-quality compaction, as it effectively prevents the uneven distribution of the material.
Both models also have the benefit of uncomplicated operation, which means drivers – irrespective of their experience level – can feel confident handling the machine without a lengthy induction. Plus, the ergonomically optimised driver's cabs provide excellent visibility and feature a driver's seat that is easily adjusted to the size and weight of the operator. The models are also easy to service and maintain, with all maintenance points being readily accessible at all times, especially around the 18.2 kW Yanmar engine. When it comes to transportability, Hamm sticks with the tried-and-tested benefits of the HD CompactLine series and offers multiple tie-down points and a central suspension point for fast and hassle-free loading. Yet more reasons the new models make an ideal choice for the machine rental sector.
Various configuration options are available on the new models, including for instance powerful LED work lighting, an anti-freeze filling system, a back-up alarm and even the option of connecting to the John Deere Operations Center. What’s more, the machine can also be fitted with an automatic engine-off function to reduce both diesel consumption and emissions.
