The Road Passion

During the first use of Wirtgen milling machines on the Hawaiian island of Maui, the team completely removed and repaved the surface of the Haleakalā Highway over a distance of around four miles in record time – with machines from Wirtgen and Vögele.

A vast-scale construction project is under way in Germany’s south-western Baden-Württemberg region, in the form of the 70 m high Hochbrücke Horb bridge. To ensure the best possible compaction of access tracks and work platforms, two HC 200i – Smart Doc Hamm compactors have been deployed for high transparency and more process reliability.

Johann Joos Tief- und Straßenbau GmbH used the most versatile, new generation Vögele paver to revitalise a 1.3 km section of country road. Despite poor weather conditions and time pressure, the team was able to work efficiently, safely and precisely.

First-class asphalt for the fastest of cars: Russian building contractor Tekhalyans, responsible for the renovation and maintenance of the Sochi Autodrom, is using the new high-tech TBA 3000 plant.
