HAMM offers a wide range of compactors and tandem rollers for professional compaction in gardening and landscaping. The CompactLine machines are of particular interest here: They combine compact dimensions with first-class visibility, supremely easy handling and cost-effective operation.
The name "CompactLine" speaks for itself, because these compaction machines from HAMM have a very compact design. They perform high-quality compaction work on large and small areas as well as on narrow paths. At the same time, its three-point articulation ensures unique driving stability and good directional stability.
H 5i and H 7i compactors: Compact, climbing, easy to handle
The compact H 5i and H 7i compactors can handle gradients of 60% and above – with plenty of ground clearance. Added to this is the drive via wheel motors and, as a further characteristic feature, the three-point articulation. It ensures very good driving and handling characteristics – especially where narrow or steep passages need to be compacted. The machines are also remarkably short. With a length of around 4.40 m, the H 7i is the shortest compactor in the world in this weight class.
HD CompactLine tandem rollers: 100% compaction
Compaction along walls or other objects often presents a challenge. This is where HAMM tandem rollers excel in several ways: On the one hand, their low overall height enables them to work even in low areas, e.g. under roofs or indoors. In addition, the compact dimensions also make compaction in confined areas possible. In addition, the tandem rollers' large side clearance enables compaction along kerbs and small walls. The HD 8 and HD 10C models with "Clear Side" deserve special mention in this context. Thanks to their special drum suspension, these rollers can completely compact surfaces even along high walls or buildings.
Extremely straightforward operation
The compact tandem rollers and compactors from HAMM are extremely easy and safe to operate immediately without any training time. Operating errors are avoided by easy access, few keys and clear, language-neutral, logically arranged symbols. Visually and functionally, the dashboards of both series are very similar, making it extremely easy for operators to switch between the series.
Optimum visibility
On the HD CompactLine tandem rollers, the wasp-waist design ensures optimum visibility. The CompactLine compactors also offer an excellent view of the machine and construction site thanks to their large fields of vision or window areas. A small, yet important detail: The rear-view mirrors on the H 5i and H 7i compactors can be conveniently adjusted and cleaned from inside the cab through the divided windows.
Low-cost operation
HAMM's compact machines are very economical in operation, and the engines also meet the latest exhaust emission standards. As an option, the H CompactLine compactors can be equipped with an automatic engine-off function. Under certain conditions, this automatically switches off the engine – for example, if the machine is at a standstill for an extended period of time. This, in turn, reduces diesel consumption.
Models with vibration, oscillation and VIO
The HD CompactLine tandem rollers are available with drum widths of 80–138 cm in several versions: As a double vibration roller, with one vibrating roller drum and one oscillation drum, as a combination roller or as a pneumatic-tyre roller. The H CompactLine compactors (drum widths of 1.37 and 1.68 m) offer a choice of smooth or padfoot drums and two-part padfoot shells. A VIO drum is also available for the H 7i. This enables the compactor to compact either with vibration or oscillation.
Numerous options for all applications
HAMM has numerous options in its portfolio for a wide range of applications, for example a telematics interface, a battery isolation switch and various lighting options such as LED lighting and drum edge lighting. ROPS cabs or chip spreaders for the tandem rollers or cabs and dozer blades for the compactors are also available. HAMM also offers the HAMM Compaction Meter (HCM) for compaction measurement. Some tandem rollers can also be equipped with the HAMM Temperature Meter (HTM) to measure the asphalt temperature.
Compactors are used for compaction in earthworks, e.g. for developing areas or preparing soil. They compact the material with a drum on the front vehicle. A powerful rear axle drive and large tyres ensure safe progress even on difficult terrain.
Crushed rock, frost protection and base courses, but also water-bound road surfaces and asphalt layers can be optimally compacted with tandem rollers. They work with driven drums on the front and rear axle. Depending on which building material is compacted and how deeply, the best results are achieved with vibration, oscillation or combination rollers.
