With an optimized user experience – from the screen layout to tablet operation and preconfigured trends. Development also actively incorporated practical insights from mixing supervisors. The BLS 4 is subject to continued life cycle management – software and hardware are kept updated at all times, while also being covered by a level of IT security that meets all current statutory regulations. And last but not least: Recipe Generator 4.0, for generating asphalt recipes with variable RAP content – sustainability made possible.

The BENNINGHOVEN control system optimises and controls your production processes and generates all parameters you need for monitoring your operating costs. Project-related re-calculations can be implemented easily. Decades of experience and collaboration with users have created a perfect platform for a user-friendly system.

Graphics in real-time mode allow in-depth insights into the processes. The current production parameters are shown with the operating data, allowing optimum reliability and product quality.

In addition to fully automatic mode, the control system also offers a manual operating level. Each assembly can be operated automatically or manually. Each drive or flap is assigned a button which can be used for manual operation.

Life cycle

An asphalt mixing plant has a service life of 20 to 30 years, while its electronic components last for approx. 4 to 8 years. This gap has now been closed with the new BENNINGHOVEN lifecycle management.

Keeping software and hardware successively updated:

  • updates and hardware adaptations are conducted in regular, short cycles.
  • The older the control system or components, the greater the risk of failures or incompatibilities affecting parts that cannot be replaced like-for-like.
  • Typically replaced components: hard drives, printers, batteries, monitors

BENNINGHOVEN Recipe Generator 4.0

Recipe Generator 4.0 includes a software option for dynamically generating recipes with variable quantities of RAP material.

  • Simpler and clearly structured operation
  • Use of the recipe generator regardless of whether the virgin mineral is run through the screen or (NEW) with bypass – recipes are always accurate.
  • Automatic mixing of different recycling types possible – generates the resulting recycling analysis continuously from different recycling types
  • Keeps manual analysis preparation to a minimum
  • Simply enter the RAP analysis (screen curve analysis) directly into the system and the recipe generator automatically executes all other steps.
  • Automatic change of the bitumen type, including tank selection, resulting from the base recipe
  • The user can define exceptions – additives that should not be included in the dynamic adjustment process
