Thanks to our sustainable and efficient products and process solutions, our customers can successfully respond to the specific requirements of their construction sites and fulfil tender specifications. Recycling, material savings and intelligent assistance systems play a crucial role here.
A large number of our machines and applications are designed to process and recycle material that has already been used.
Once the bearing capacity of the asphalt surface layer has been compromised, the road structure must be completely rehabilitated. The trend is currently moving towards environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions that involve recycling the damaged road surface.
To the cold in-situ recycling processIf the construction site doesn’t meet the logistical requirements to conduct the entire recycling process in one pass, cold in-plant recycling is often the perfect solution.
To the cold in-plant recycling processSoil stabilisation scores top marks in comparison to soil exchange as it requires fewer truck transports, results in shorter construction times, saves resources and reduces CO₂ emissions.
The exchange of soils with poor load bearing capacities involves loading these soils with excavators and trucks, transporting them away and disposing of them as well as creating and distributing new load-bearing soil at the construction site. With the soil stabilisation method, this exchange process is rendered more or less superfluous.
To soil stabilisationThe WRC 240(i) Rock Crusher crushes coarse rock, such as that found in pack layers or stony soils, in situ and mixes it homogeneously in the same operation. Combining these work steps into one operation results in significant material and fuel savings as well as an associated reduction in CO₂ emissions. The WRC can be used in both cold recycling and soil stabilisation operations.
To the WRC Rock CrusherOur numerous intelligent information and diagnostic systems additionally support the operator and make their job easier – resulting in faster and more efficient operations.
In automatic mode, the innovative MILL ASSIST machine control system always ensures the most favourable cost-performance ratio. The process is optimized by automatic adjustment of the diesel engine and milling drum speeds, the advance drive, the water system, and the machine’s advance rate. This reduces the operator's workload whilst improving the machine’s performance and significantly reducing fuel consumption, CO₂ emissions, pick wear, and noise emissions.
To the MILL ASSISTSustainability is firmly rooted in the corporate principles of the Wirtgen Group. This also applies to our Wirtgen plant.
