New vibration crusher drum for compactors in the HC series
Crushing and compacting in a single step makes construction site operations more streamlined
Made for extra-tough applications: Hamm now presents new HC compactors with vibration crusher drum, which have been designed specifically to crush and compact rock and stone in a single operation. Both models have a newly designed tool holder system and offer time, cost and emission savings of up to 50%, making them particularly efficient and environmentally friendly. While the HC 250i C VC is available from early 2024 for countries with exhaust emission standard EU Stage V/ EPA Tier 4f, the HC 250 C VC is available in countries with exhaust emission standard Tier 3 from autumn.

The type designation says it all
The HC 250i C VC and HC 250 C VC compactors create the ideal conditions for crushing and compacting mixed ground, basalt, granite or other construction materials with similar compressive strength As with the predecessor series, this specification is indicated by the type designation “VC” (Vibration Crusher). The separate “C” also symbolizes the reinforced drum drive, capable of inclines of up to 60%.
With the HC 250i C VC and HC 250 C VC models, Hamm is presenting new compactors for crushing and compacting stone – for markets with exhaust emission standard EU Stage V/ EPA Tier 4f and for countries following exhaust emission standard Tier 3 (from autumn 2024).
New-design tool holder system
A highlight of the VC compactors is the newly designed tool holder system. The drum of the VC compactors has 126 tool holders, which can be fitted with cutting tools using the quick-change system. There are currently two different types of cutting tool available:
