The powerful Kleemann screening plant proves its flexibility in Bulgaria.
In Varna, Bulgaria, the versatile scalper MOBISCREEN MSS 802i EVO is in operation. Here, in spite of the demanding material and changing tasks, it performs excellently.
Patishta i Mostove is one of the major players in this Balkan country: The company carries out infrastructure projects such as road or bridge construction. Its portfolio also includes earth moving of all types, housing construction and recycling.Patishta i Mostove has three quarries of its own; in a further three quarries the company is present as an operator.

Limestone with a high clay content is extracted in the quarry where the mobile scalper is currently being used. The task is the screening of clean stone for pre-crushing in a stationary jaw crushing plant. Separating the sticky content of fines is demanding.
To obtain clean limestone, the sticky content of fines in the clay share must first be separated.
One of the highlights of the plant is the simple and fast conversion from 3- to 2-way grit. Either two or three final grain sizes can thus be produced and discharged. “In our company, the plant is used on 2-way grit with an amazing output of 375 tons an hour. The real aim was to allow the grit to run directly onto the truck in order to save wheel loader costs. The productivity of the plant, however, is a lot higher than we expected“, explains Svetoslav Stoykov, machine operator. The high productivity makes direct loading on the lorry more difficult because, during the truck change, the material stockpile becomes high too quickly. “However, we still need the wheel loaders. The bottom line, of course, is that the result is very good.“

The adjustment options for the screen casing angle with a large setting range are also very helpful. It can be adjusted variably from 15.4 to 20 degrees and the screen casing can thus be set over 20 percent steeper than on many other scalpers on the market. Productivity is also very high with a small angle of the screen casing and the cleaning effect is satisfactory even with high humidity levels.
“We installed material brakes as additional equipment. The work excellently. They decelerate large bowlders very efficiently and protect the machine against damage and excessive wear”, says Rosen Koleliev, who is overall very impressed with the design of the plant. “My people really like working with the machine. All components are clearly arranged and very easily accessed. It’s easy to see that Kleemann has also closely considered safety and user-friendliness.“
In general, the company is very satisfied with the co-operation with Kleemann. “On the one hand, we have the top productivity and, on the other hand, a noticeable reduction in operating costs.
