As the local production plant in China, Wirtgen (China) Machinery Co. is a part of the WIRTGEN GROUP, an internationally operating group of companies in the construction machinery sector incorporating the traditional product brands: WIRTGEN, VÖGELE, HAMM, KLEEMANN and BENNINGHOVEN with their brand headquarters in Germany and local production plants in Brazil, China and India. Currently, Wirtgen (China) employs about 400 employees in China. Additionally, in April 2015 Wirtgen (China) laid the foundation of a new 33.000 m² production plant with the aim of increasing the production capacity and developing the market share in China.

R&D Engineer

Report to: R&D Manager
Department: R&D Dept.
Working place: Langfang


Job Responsibility:

  • Manage New Product Introduction Projects and coordinate the tasks through all operations functions
  • Make machinery engineering design using 2D/3D software based on requirements and generate product and engineering drawings
  • Liaising with German design office on engineering change and machine technical issue.
  • Check and make machine BOM (Bill of Material)
  • Interacting with local suppliers to resolve product issues to meet production targets
  • Technical support to purchasing, production and quality departments
  • Other tasks assigned by R&D Manager
  • The work position is based in Langfang


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering or similar
  • At least 5 years’ experience in design and development of machines and parts. Ideally previous experience in the road or construction machinery field
  • Experience in 3D CAD Systems (Unigraphics NX, Solid Edge or comparable)
  • Proven experience in Project Management
  • Experience in SAP or comparable standard software
  • Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English
  • Honest, self-starter, willing to learn and able to work well under pressure
