We are searching for a:

Technology Specialist

The Technology Specialist will provide expert solutions for equipment at dealer locations and customer sites. The role involves delivering product training on wear parts commonly used in crushing and screening applications, managing large inventories of wear parts and assisting our dealer network in stocking the correct wear components for their market (crushing tools, conveyor belts, etc.).


Location:

Nashville, TN (with 50-70% travel across North America, including Canada and Germany)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical training at our state-of-the-art Nashville facility and on-site at Wirtgen dealer locations across North America.
  • Travel internationally to Canada for customer support and to Germany for specialized training at Wirtgen factories.
  • Install and configure new or modified equipment at customer facilities, ensuring full functionality according to specifications.
  • Act as a communication bridge between the dealer and the company to ensure seamless service.
  • Review performance reports and inspect products to identify and resolve issues, escalating to the product support manager when necessary.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance, analyze findings, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Review wear parts stock at WIRAM and dealer locations to ensure the correct components are in stock at all times with minimal lead times.


Required Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills to troubleshoot equipment over the phone and in the field.
  • Proven ability to solve problems efficiently and analyze information to develop alternative solutions.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills, maintaining a high level of service and professionalism.
  • Team player, capable of fostering positive team relations and achieving goals.
  • Ability to develop curriculum and teach training classes.
  • Will become a Subject Matter Expert on all Kleemann products


Education and Experience:

  • Must be comfortable conducting training classes.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school, with at least two years of experience in construction equipment.
  • Background in heavy equipment preferred, especially in road construction (milling, cold recycling, paving, compaction) and mineral technologies.
  • Experience managing large inventories of wear parts is a plus.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit frequently and occasionally stand, walk, use hands, reach, and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Good vision (close, distance, color, and focus adjustments) is necessary.
