High-Performance Side Feeding and Homogeneous Spreading of Concrete

The cost-effective 2-track placer/spreader is designed for high-performance placement and spreading of concrete at widths from 4 m to 12 m and a thickness of 500 mm.
The machine concept with a hydraulically telescoping machine frame and concrete strike-off unit makes the machine highly adaptable to any job site situation.
The powerful, fast folding feeder conveyor features an intelligent control concept and guarantees maximum concrete availability for the slipform paver following behind it.
The fully modular machine design is factory-fitted with hydraulic quick-change couplings that enable easy configuration, rapid transport, and maximum machine utilization rates.
The machine can be precisely controlled by stringline scanning, with stringless 3D applications, or with WIRTGEN Autopilot 2.0.

Slipform paving with side feeding

If reinforcement needs to be laid in advance during the construction of concrete carriageways, the concrete can be fed in laterally using a placer/spreader. The placer/spreader travels in front of the slipform paver over the pre-placed reinforcement, while a truck mixer feeds the belt conveyor with concrete from the side. The concrete is poured evenly over the pre-placed reinforcement, in front of the slipform paver, and distributed across the entire working width. Once the truck mixer is empty, the belt conveyor can be folded away in a very short time to clear the path for the next mixer.
