High-quality compaction with new tandem rollers - Hamm at Bauma China

Hamm is presenting a whole package of innovative tandem rollers for high-quality compaction at Bauma China 2024. The range extends from models in the compact segment to tandem rollers with an operating weight of 14 tonnes.

New tandem rollers HD 98i – HD 118i and HD 138i VV

At Bauma China, Die bei. These models comply with the Chinese emission standard MEE IV and offer high compaction and area performance, fuel-efficient operation, and numerous equipment options. The HD 98i to HD 118i models, powered by a robust 95 kW Cummins engine, are available with two vibration drums (VV), a vibration and oscillation drum (VO), or a vibration drum with a wheel set (VT), providing versatile options for efficient and high-quality compaction. At Bauma China, Hamm is displaying two machines of the new series – HD 98i VT and HD 118i VV. Also in the line-up: The already familiar HD 138i VV tandem roller.

HD CompactLine tandem rollers

Hamm already expanded its compact roller lineup with 10 new models featuring Kubota engines compliant with MEE IV emissions standards. With a "wasp waist" design for excellent visibility and an articulated joint for superior handling, these rollers are versatile for both asphalt construction and landscaping applications. Targeted at the Chinese market, the new models range from 1.6 to 5 tons, including HD 18 VV, HD 20 VV, HD 30 VV, HD 30 VT, HD 35 VV, HD 35 VT, HD 35 VO, HD 50 VV, HD 50 VT, and HD 50 VO, all manufactured at the Wirtgen Group factory in Langfang, China. Available drum widths range from 0.8 m to 1.38 m, with compaction options including dual vibration drums (VV), a combination of vibration and oscillation drums (VO), and a vibration drum with tires (VT). At Bauma China, Hamm is showing three models, HD 18 VV, HD 35 VT and HD 50 VO.

Battery-electric tandem roller

Another highlight at Bauma China is Hamm´s battery-electric tandem roller HD 12e VV. In 2022, Hamm has enlarged the HD CompactLine series with eight new fully electric machines weighing between 2.5 and 2.7 tons. The models HD 10e and HD 12e are available in VV, VO, VT, and OT variants, delivering the same compaction performance as their diesel-powered counterparts. Four of the e-models feature oscillation drums, two of which are combination rollers. This is where the already quiet oscillation meets with the quiet e-drive. The result of this is quiet compaction machines that produce no emissions and cause very few vibrations in the surrounding area. They are ideal for compacting in noise-sensitive and vibration-sensitive areas, such as near hospitals or historical buildings.
